Original And Beautiful Hats

The Phantom of Liberty

The Phantom of Liberty is a brilliant film by Luis Buñuel, which lays bare the hypocrisy of bourgeois society's rules, arguing that in a few words the important thing is the shape and not the content, so we do not have freedom of choice but only the illusion of choice. The film is the 1974 but we can safely assume to live today. In fact, following the financial collapse in America and the various impacts, economics and the theory of liberalism suffered a blow, and even most liberal economists are making giant steps backward.
But the most striking among many is that Berlusconi's statement yesterday said: "we bring ethics into the world of finance." Berlusconi, who talk about ethics in finance is a bit like hearing about the value of human life by a slave trader. But the point is that many leaders of our local finance have reiterated the same thing: Tronchetti Provera (tried to intercept Telecom-earthquake), Geronzi (tried to bankrupt Italcase group, Parmalat, Cirio, wear), Emma Marcegalia (the rest of His family has been tried to corruption, bankruptcy Italcase), Matteo Colaninno (father tried to Bankruptcy Italcase and sank into debt Telecom was managing without the Provera), Marcellino Gavio (trial to Tangentopoli breach secret investigation). The cream of Italian business, which on the one hand talk about ethics in finance and on the other enters and leaves the courts. It really looks like that the movie has become reality, especially for a person living in Italy, a country where criminals make the laws. All we need is to give the Nobel Peace Prize to Bush, and then Buñuel could be considered a precursor of the times.
